Situational Background
A national construction management company had numerous sites across the
nation. These sites ranged from trailers on construction sites to permanent
buildings and they all needed dependable access to voice and data services.
Business Challenges
The organization did not have the internal resources to manage and maintain
the voice and data networks properly. As a result, they contracted with
a third-party to manage and maintain the system. However, the construction
management company experienced downtime and did not receive the client
experience it required.
Approach and Solution
Maron Structure Technologies designed a custom solution for managing and
maintaining the network using the 24/7/365 Network Operations Center (NOC)
in Illinois. Through the NOC, the voice and data networks were monitored
and proactive maintenance and management was performed. The construction
management company also had dedicated resources and a web-based portal
for submitting and tracking tickets for moves, adds, changes, and disconnects
(MACD).
From the network operations centers, voice routers and switches, LAN
switches, public switched telephone network (PSTN) carrier links, and
WAN circuits were all monitored and managed. Advanced reporting technology
also compiled performance, availability, and fault information into real-time,
daily, and monthly reports illustrating traffic, exceptions, availability,
and inventory information.
Business Outcome
The construction management company seamlessly migrated over to the new
managed solution and immediately received the attention and responsiveness they demanded.
Since the initial deployment, Maron Structure Technologies turned up
several additional sites and is in the process of providing the company
with a design for a centralized voice solution deployment.
